Michele Austin Rodriguez is an award-winning
producer, director, and creator
Michele has a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Theatre with a minor in Mass Communication from Texas State University- San Marcos, a Certificate in Arts Management from the University of California- Irvine, and a Masters of Science in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University.
In 2016 Michele moved to New York, where she lived and worked in the heart of the theatre industry for four years. She worked on several productions ranging from backstage crew to marketing and developing new work. In January 2020, Michele self-produced a Game of Thrones themed cabaret show at Feinstein’s/54 Below, one of New York’s most prominent venues.
In addition to theatre, Michele also became a key member of the team at Undead Burrito Productions, a collective of independent filmmakers based in Brooklyn. Many of the Undead Burrito projects that she contributed to have gone on to win awards at film festivals both domestic and internationally.
In 2019 Michele won Stareable Fest’s 90-second live pitch competition, where she pitched a series about living with “invisible” conditions to network executives. The project is still in early development stages.
Michele is a fierce believer in the positive impact the arts can have on a person’s life. She hopes to join or form a team in the theatre industry that is committed to diversity, accessibility, education, and the development of new work.
